Hello everyone~
I'm not very good at this, but I just wanted to say a quick hi and introduce myself. My name is Mary and to tell you the truth I don't really know what else to say about myself. I work better with people asking questions. So, feel free to ask as many questions as you want and I will do my best to respond. Thanks a bunch

OK, I'll take a shot:

1)where are you?

2)what do you do?

3)are you descended from Celts? If yes, which ones (ie: Irish, Scot, Welsh....I'm betting Irish or married to an Irish descendant with a last name starting with O'C)?

Happy to have you join our little group. smile.gif

Thank you for making me feel so welcome, Mary. I love music in pretty much form and I grew up listening to Celtic music so it is impossible for me not to love the music here and it is always fun meeting and getting to knew people. Probably two of my most favorite things.

MacE,
1. Presently, I am in the computer lab at my school. As for a less specific location, I'm from the US.

2. I am a student. My main focus is music, vocal performance.

3. I am a Irish by birth so I'm not married.

P.S. Pretty good guess on my initials. Now can you guess my full name? biggrin.gif
Thanks for making me feel at ease. I can be a pretty shy person at first.

It is great to talk to all of you. I am already beginning to love it and I intend to stick around for a while and get a chance to know more people.

Mary Katherine is very close and Mary Kate is even closer...almost too close. Mary Kate is what only family members call me for the most part. My name is Mary Kathleen. The only hint I can give for the rest of it is the Rose of Tralee. (I know too obvious, but that is the only hint I can think of).

bye1.gif for now, Mary

Hello, Mary Kathleen.
What a nice name. Welcome to the family. What part of the U.S. do you live in? I live in southcentral Kentucky. We are a varied group....we live in all parts of the world. Most of us are from the U.S., it seems. Many from our nothern neighbor (Canada) and the rest are scattered all over.
So many of the group are musically gifted. I am, unfortunately, not one of them. Doesn't seem fair, considering that my granny was a concert violinist, who traveled throughout Europe when she was young. She taught violin and piano up until her passing at the age of 80. However, she lived in Canada and I grew up in the states. So I just listen to the music. How about you? Do you play any instruments? Do you enjoy the Irish dance?
Hope you enjoy this site. We are glad to have you here. smile.gif

I'm from Illinois. My main musical talent is in singing. I know how to play the piano and I am working on getting better at it. I have always enjoyed Irish Dance, but unfortunately I was never actually able to take any lessons or anything.

As for if I'm a redhead no. My mom is so I have natural red highlights. I am a brunette, but I have the fair skin and freckles of a redhead.

I want to thank everyone for being so welcoming. It has put me at easy and put some of my more shy tendencies at easy.

HAHA! Its ok. I enjoy a good sense of humor and No offense is taken what-so-ever.

As for which part of Illinois, I grew up in northern Illinois in the Chicagoland area and I go to school around the Quad Cities.

As for the hint of the Rose of Tralee, I have the same name as the girl that William Mulchinock fell in love with. And I was not named after her thats just how it happened.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
