I would be interested what does Avalon means to you. Is it a mystic place where King Arthur awaits till Britannia needs him, or is it an imaginary place where live will be perfect? Or is there maybe a place that you would call Avalon? Have you ever been there? Tell me what you think!
"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."
-Alexander Maclean Sinclair of Goshen (protector of Gaelic Culture)
Seriously .... Avalon is a way to pin your hopes and dreams onto something .... if we don't believe in something then what is left .... Avalon is one of those things we tend to zero in on to try to attach ourselves to some kind of reality/fantasy in order to be able to accept the reality or our every day existence .... sometimes vey hard .... we have to believe in something .... for me it is Avalon and all the mythological connnotations that go along with it .... something out there must be real
