Sounds like a wonderful experience Steven, I envy you. Thanks for telling us about it. Such adventures we must be missing. I think you're right, that the mind is far more expansive and contains far more potential than we know.
I have heard from several friends about their OOB experiences. My own brother told me of one when he was a kid. Another kid accidentally hit him in the head with a baseball bat during a game and he found himself out of his body looking at it lying on the baseball field. He was in danger for a while but was rushed to the hospital, treated and released. He didn't go into great detail about his OOB but I got the impression it didn't last long. Perhaps he just didn't remember much since he was relating an experience he'd had as a child when he was a middle aged adult.

I have made a few experiences some might laugh about and won`t take it serious but they were.
It`s been a long time since I posted here last time and my spiritual journey has been a long since.
One experience I made was when I was lying in hospital after my first surgery and was doing awfully bad, with permanent extremly high temperature. This fever was wearing me out and there was this one special night ...
I saw myself lying in bed but from above, at the same time I was moving towards a light, shining so warm and brightly that no word could do it any justice. It felt like unconditional and pure love, coming directly from the Devine Source. I so wanted to get there but when I was almost entering it I saw my grandmother who had died in 1977; she looked at me with eyes filled with an incredibly beautiful light with a no less beautiful smile and gently shook her head, like she was saying "It`s not your time yet, my child". I so wanted to go but felt myself moving back until I was in my own body again, fighting for my life.
Very different experiences I made by entering what I call the Cosmic Wheel. These are not only dreaming experiences but also those I do fully awaken. Of course I`m preparing for it. I`m asking my spirit guides and the Great Spirit or the Divine Source ( however we call it, it is the same ) to be with me and to help me not to get lost in time. It`s hard to explain, I just feel when I`m ready for it.
I can travel to previous lives and see myself there. You know, I`m still here in present time but as the same time I`m there. I have gained so much insight since, about me and other people in my life, some I meet in previous lives and it explains why we are soul mates in this life.
First those travels simply happened but in thr meantime I can do them willingly.
I take my responsibility very serious, those travels are nothing to be "played" with. The preparation is as important as the thanks after I`m back again.
I hope this all makes sense; I`m very thankful for being allowed to make these experiences.
