I have just finished heading two 48 quart coolers of wild sweet Georgia Shrimp. Wow!! As many of you know, I live on Georgia's beautiful coast and enjoy the bounty of her coastal waters. Right now the wild sweet Georgia shrimp are everywhere. These are "cobb shrimp". What are cobb shrimp? This is a coastal term that means the shrimp are as large as a corn cobb. That is to say from the tip of the horn to the tip of the tail the length is about 8 inches. Now that is a jumbo shrimp to y'all.
That's about the same size as the Cajun Shrimp me, the brother, and dad saw when we went down to the bayou lands of southern Louisiana to visit our Cajun/Creole family friends a year after Katrina. Big shrimp!

LP Vinyl Enthusiast - It really needs to be in LP vinyl format for me to most certainly get it. ^^
"Your brother brought me silver, and your sister warmed my soul, but now I laugh and pull so hard and see you swinging from the gallows pole!" - from the Led Zeppelin song "Gallows Pole", 'Led Zeppelin III' album.
Listening to my vinyl records, and wishing the CD I won in the contest here this month, that's now hopefully on its way, was record too instead of a CD. Valpal, I envy you. I've stuck at home with no work from my employer for over a month now. *sighs* What do you do?
Patriot1776: I work for an independent insurance agency. Before anyone says anything, I don't like insurance companies either, they are a rip off. I am the first person you see when you walk in the door. I answer the phone, do the filing, open and distribute the mail, report claims for our customers, fill in for the other 2 girls when they are gone and do all of the computer work for the crop insurance. I am really lucky to have landed this job. There are not many jobs in our small town.
Coastman: You are so lucky. You don't find shrimp like that in the Texas Panhandle. LOL The last fresh shrimp we had came from a guy who went down to the coast and brought it back. We thought we had died and gone to heaven.

Listening to Loreena McKennitt's Mummers Dance on my new Computer Stereo Speakers that I received as a present today and catching up on reading Posts. It's been a full day/evening
Trying to get enough coffee so that I can take both grandsons to our local Pumpkin Patch. They have a corn maze that should be interesting. If you don't hear from me in a couple of days, you know my grandsons lost me!!!!!
