Hi all,

I should have posted something up here first introducing myself before posting on Celtic hearts, but that's me, usually doing things the wrong way round.

I'm Stuart from the Isle of Mann.

I enjoy folk dancing, I'm a member of Bock Yuan Fannee (Johns Flayed Horse(the nearest translation is shankses? pony))

I sing with a local choir Clioagaree Twoie (Northern Croakers)

I speak Manks although I'm a bit rusty from lack of use.

I write poetry (you may have noticed a couple of things I've penned)

The name zephyr signifies nothing, it was picked because I was listening to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and needed a name for a local site I joined, It's just sort of stuck.

You are quite skilled with a pen, my friend. Welcome to Highlander Radio smile.gif As I recall I did much the same thing when I joined, so no problem there. Dive right in smile.gif Although I might suggest you follow suit with several here and have one thread where you post your material, instead of a new thread for each piece. Doesn't look like you're trying to hijack a forum that way smile.gif

The Avatar is Rob Anybody. He's a Nac Mac Feegle as created by Paul Kidby for Terry Pratchett, if you haven't read 'The Discworld' you are missing out on some extremely funny writing.

Hey scotsman! That's a good one.

Hi Zephyr!

So glad you are here! So you speak Manx, eh? I am trying to learn Scottish Gaelic. I would really like to see some examples of the Manx if you are willing! Maybe you could start a Manx thread over in the Gaelic forum or in the Isle of Man forum! Fàilte a charaid! Welcome my friend!
