Hello, I am Mersea Ruane-Smith and I live in Norfolk, Va USA. I am 48 yrs into my life, have two sons from the first marriage (both boys are in their twenties), and am now married to my soulmate. We provide a foster home for a No-Kill Dog Rescue in our area and right now we have a little guy, Dylan Webster, who is an afghan/lab/? mix. I am an artist and I have a website to sell my work and greeting cards. My mother's family is from Ireland and I have been trying to do a family search. I love Ireland, oh so beautiful and mystical. I am hoping that one day I will be able to visit there! Hope to get to know y'all! (Sorry, I'm from the South, we talk funny! ) Mersea |

Welcome Mersea! Always glad to see new faces.
I think he meant friendlier bunch. And I have found it to be so. |

I'm sure he did mean friendlier, that's why I felt the need to bust his chops. |

I love Wytheville! when I was in college (a million years ago) 4 of us crazies set off to got to the NCAA Division Two Basketball Tournaments in Evansville, Indiana...the car we drove in was held together with the masking tape we used to write stuff on the car!!!! We got in the mountains just past Wytheville when the guys car died! It was pitch black and freezing!!!! We had no heat, so we got out of the car and put on all our clothes to keep warm!!!! Someone had called us a tow truck and the guys that came were scarey!!!! I got in the tow truck while the giys stayed in the car....the guy pushed the car down the moutain at about 70 mph! That poor car was shaking so bad I'm surprized the wheels didn't fall off! We stayed the night in a hotel and the car got fixed the next day then off we went to Indiana! I stole the phone book...at that time most of the phone book (about a 50 page book) was filled with mostly Smiths! And that was my last name! Someone asked for my website...her she is: www.aheartofmersea.com. |
