You're asking me to bring a woman on this ship? Endangering both the crew and your very own mission?

I have sailed with many a woman onboard and have never had the "bad luck" so attributed to them!, If she be bad luck why did the captain of the ship that set her adrift take her on in the first palce?
If you believe in that load of crap then you must also believe in the monsters that come from the deep... Man get a grip on yourself, that is a human life out there....!

The fact that she's been set adrift is enough to show that Captain was a fool. But if you insist, then all consequences lie on your shoulders, Phartripper. I'll not lose my ship and have you get away with it. The Captain hollered orders to the men, and spun the wheel.
And I'd watch what I say about those beasts in the depths. Don't discredit the things you've never seen.
The quickly closed in on the boat, and Jesdone, along with others worked to board the guest.

Sir my time at sea might equal your's... my father commanded a Brig for the crown since I was just a pup and I always went with him since the age of 7...I have seen what are called the "beasts"...
Just let us bring this woman aboard and I am sure you will see the justification in the action...she will not let you nor the crew down!
Pick watched the woman arriving on board with mixed feelings, but then he grinned. Maybe she had a better idea of how to gut fish or peel vegetables .....
And Alwan would find someone else to pick on ...
He went to the ship's rail and helped her pulling aboard.

Slotglas! I tell you this is one of the finest serving wenches to be found and she can cook as well!!! Bring her aboard... if a captain set her adrift it would be because she would not take to his advances and most likely put him in his place...
Phartrippers voice carried down the stairs to the kitchen.
Alwan's face reddened with anger and he stormed up the stairs, shouting on top of his lungs: "What do ye mean, she can cook??? Does that mean, that you think me inadequate of doing my work - or even find the meals not edible?" The last few questions had been said in a tone that was audibly threatening - and still full blast. Alwan underlined his anger with almost spastic movements with his hook and was a truly terrible sight.

Phartrippers voice carried down the stairs to the kitchen.

Calm down friend! I have yet to taste yer cookin, I just said she had the means to help with the victals! She also is a bit more pleasant to look at then you!
Phartripper turns to Shotglas and says....
I am sure she will not effect this voyage any way but in a pleasant manor... if you are nice she may return it in kind...
Phartripper was the first at the rail to greet the red headed woman...
Ruby my dear it has been ages since our pathes crossed... how the hell are you?
Phartripper through his arms around the red headed vixon and gave her a grand bearhug...
you must have been a bad girl again to find yourself in this situation...
Phartripper!! Oh its so good to see a familiar face! I'm doing great!!! Well you know how good ol cap'n Arse is. He had a few too many and lets just say he won't be grabbin things that don't belong to him any more!"
As Phartripper releases me from the bearhug, Faileas comes running up from the galley screaming.
"What do ye mean, she can cook??? Does that mean, that you think me inadequate of doing my work - or even find the meals not edible?"
Whoa there Faileas!! I'm not here to take anybody job. I just want to earn my keep. How bout you cook and I'll deal with servin these scum balls?" I say as I nudge Phartripper in the ribs with my elbow.
Just then Damn Dog comes to welcome me aboard. As I half pat half push his head away I grin and say, "Well thats the warmest welcome I've gotten in ages!"
[ Whoa there Alwan!! I'm not here to take anybody job. I just want to earn my keep. How bout you cook and I'll deal with servin these scum balls?" I say as I nudge Phartripper in the ribs with my elbow.
Alwan glared at her with some mistrust, but Phartripper obviously knew this "lady" and seemed to trust her.
With a gruff voice , that was more of a snarl he relented: "Aye, might be something ... " Then he added with a poisenous glance at Pick: "And take care of that one ... Show him how to clean veg and maybe explain him that the fins have to be cut away and the guts pulled out ..."
Pick pulled a face when he heard Alwan and snarled: "I don't need a nursemaid anymore ..., haven't I saved yer worthless skin back there?"
A: "I don't care a hair's breath what ye think of it, lad, but either she ' ll show ye or i'll feed the fish with ye ...And then we will see what that little trick at harbour will help ye then."
The boy sniggered at the one - eyed cook with the hook and false leg, but kept his peace.
