Greetings and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! STARTED THIS AS AN ATTEMPT TO JUST FIND GREAT MUSIC, BUT NOW IT HAS CHANGED MY DRIVE TO RESEARCH MY WIFE'S FAMILY ROOTS (MCKEE) AND MY FAMILY ROOTS (KRIETE). HOPEFULLY GET A LITTLE MORE INFO BEFORE OUR TRIP OVERSEAS IN MARCH. GREAT FAMILY, FRIENDS, FOOD , DRINK, AND MUSIC ARE OUR LIFE DRIVES AWAY FROM OUR HECKTIC CAREERS. MY WIFE MARISSA AND I ARE TRAVELING SEVERAL TIMES THIS YEAR TO AREAS IN THE U.S AND EUROPE (SWITZERLAND/ITALY THIS YEAR). SO WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW PEOPLE IN OTHER CITIES TO MEET. WE ARE IN OUR EARLY 30'S AND LOVE GOOD WINES AND FOOD. WE HAVE NO CHILDREN (ENABLES THE TRAVELING).
Hello kriete! Fàilte gu Celtic Radio! Welcome to Celtic Radio!
In my humble opinion, you have found one of the best websites ever. The people here are some of the nicest to be found anywhere on the net, and the music is simply out of this world.
So kick off your shoes, grab a mug of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage, turn up the music and have fun! I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts.
If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask anyone with the word "Guide" beneath their avatar. That's why we're here!
Again, it is so nice to have you with us. We are like one big family here, and we just love welcoming new members to the fold! I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us, and that you will come back and visit with us often. I feel quite certain that you will grow to love the place as much as I have.
Welcome to the family, my friend! And welcome home!

Glad you found us and I know that you'll not only love the great Celtic music, but the nicest people around! I also hope you like the forums and find out more about your roots.
Welcome Kriete. Hope you're enjoying the music and the people. Regarding the search for family roots. I suppose you realize that your wife's name McKee is one of the many variations of Mackay. There is a very good summary of Mackay history in the heraldry and names section. A somewhat longer history is at http://www.magma.ca/~mmackay/biblio.html . The Clan Mackay Society USA is at http://www.clanmackayusa.org/ . The Clan Mackay Society in Scotland is at http://www.clan-mackay.co.uk/ . Hope this helps and gets you started in the right direction for your wife's family. Again, welcome to the home of great music and friendly folks. Pull up a chair, kick off your shoes and sit a spell.
Hello and Welcome! It must be very interesting to travel around so much. I bet you meet a lot of wonderful people. CR is filled with wonderful people as well

"If a man has found nothing he's willing to die for, he is not ready to live"
DISCIPLINE MUST BE A HABIT SO INGRAINED THAT IT IS STRONGER THAN THE EXCITEMENT OF BATTLE OR THE FEAR OF DEATH. General George S. Patton
Laws that forbid the carrying of firearms, disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assulted, and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourge, than to prevent homicides. For an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.
