We are making some important changes to our flagship channel - Highlander Radio!

Starting on June 23, 2010, Highlander Radio on Live365 will begin a new day by broadcasting the Best of Highlander Radio. The tracks played on our Live365 version of Highlander Radio will represent some of the very best in Celtic Music that we have received from our musicians over the past 9 years!

Our Live broadcast stream featuring requests, special programs, interviews, musician plugs, listener call-ins and more will only be available through our website. Any requests that you make will therefore only play on the website version of Highlander Radio.

Think of it like 2 different channels of Highlander Radio:

Best of Highlander Radio; available on Live365 playing our highest rated tracks.

Highlander Radio Live; available on CelticRadio.net playing requests and special programs.

With this change, we plan on doubling our listening numbers over the next few months. Highlander Radio #1 (Live365) will gain 40 new free listener slots bring total capacity to 80 free listening slots. Highlander Radio #2 is gaining 100 listener slots for a total capacity of 115 listening slots.

Any question, feel free to post them here.

I can't get it to work. When I click on the website play button I get a little popup that says it is ready but there is no music even though I can see the name of the tune being played. Help!

All of of a sudden it started working. rolleyes.gif

Give it a try now. We were trying out an alternative format, but quickly went back to the standard format when we had reports of issues.

Not sure if this is the same problem that merle was having, but the .pls feed doesn't seem to be working for me. I've tried all of my players and none of them will play the feed.

How do you play it on another player? I somehow played it on Winamp and it sounded great but I have no idea how I did it and can't duplicate it again. I pasted the URL on something in Winamp but it seemed kind of a cumbersome way to go. I know I am missing something so any advice would be appreciated.

The little box that appears after I click the Highland Radio play button works fine but the sound quality is not good. It sounds like a transistor radio from my youth.
Obviously I have no idea what I am doing. dribble.gif

Thank you for asking but all is well now. It seemed that Winamp had a problem recognizing Highlander Radio at first but they seem to have cured the problem.

It could be some of the changes we made to the broadcast this summer. But glad everything is working better now. Sorry for the delay in response!
