| I watched Batman and Robin, The Monkees, Mr Ed, the talking horse, My Three Sons, The Waltons, Bewitched and all the Looney Tune cartoons. I could probably mention others, but have forgotten them now. But I am sure you will all remind me! |

I can remember a lot but I'm afraid you don't know most of them (not easy to export our french programs ), so I'll try to remember "internaltional" one's : Skippy the kangaroo, Flipper the dolphin, Thibaud the khight, The Globe Trotters, The double-decker, The muppet show, and some cartoons like Candy and Goldorak...so you can guess I'm very old...  |

| Ok, I'm familiar with what those are. But I didn't watch those. I never actualyl got into a habit of watching many serial shows when I was young, but there were some over the years I found I liked, starting with Cartoons and similar: Fraggle Rock Transformers (the time or two I got to see it) GI-JOE Ohh, and you remember the old Pinwheel show on Nick? I remember only getting to see it once or twice a year as a kid. I wish I could have seen more. A-Team Knight Rider Airwolf Star Trek TNG National Geographic Explorer The only two of the above I ever got to watch on a regular basis are GI JOE and National Geographic. I wish the latter hadn't started doing repeats all the time :'( If It helps place when I watched it, I remember 3-4 different hosts, among them Robert Urich and Bob Ballard. (late 80's early 90's) |

Let me say first off, that when I was a child, we had to watch TV by candle light 'cause electricity hadn't been invented yet.  There was Boston Blackie, Yancey Deringer, Checkmate, Peter Gunn, Mr. Wizard, Rin Tin Tin, My Friend Flica, Fury, Sky King, Lone Ranger, 77 Sunset Strip, Sgt Preston of the Mounties, I remember the first season of Captain Kangaroo, The Twentieth Century, Industry on Parade (they always talked about some guy that started making plastics in his garage and ended up with a multi million dollar factory), Perry Mason, The Arthur Godfrey Show, Lawrence Welk, boxing once a week, all the Warner Bros. westerns (Sugar Foot, Maverick, Bronco Lane, Cheyenne, etc.) and a bunch more that I'll probably remember as soon as I get up from here.  |

You should consider getting XM Radio or SIRIUS Radio. Both of them have a classic radio theater channel. But XM has an audiobook/new radio theater channel. I used to watch all the Saturday Morning Cartoons -- Bugs Bunny, etc. When I was about 13 or 14, they had the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, which I thought was pretty cool. I was also a big Star Trek geek when I was a kid. Basically, if it was a cartoon, I watched it. I was also a die-hard Sesame Street and Mister Rogers fan. When I had kids, I got reacquainted with my two public television mainstays. wow! stevenpd! You did watch a lot of TV. Sad thing is is that I watched most of those shows too, so I spent a lot of time in front of the telly too! Nowadays, parents won't allow kids to watch that much TV as we did when we were kids.  But then shows are different now than they were when we were kids. |

Speaking of Saturday morning, how could I forget the greatest Saturday morning program of all time: WWF Superstars. Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Andre The Giant, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Sergeant Slaughter, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, George "The Animal" Steele, The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Junk Yard Dog, Tito Santana, The Hart Foundation, The British Bulldogs, Koko B. All I can think of right now are (think young child): Scooby Doo I loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sesame Street Alvin and the Chipmunks Ducktales I loved The Land of the Lost, but it was a newer version that didn't last long Captain Planet Alf Fraggle Rock Pound Puppies Are You Afraid Of The Dark? (on SNICK) Pirates of Dark Water David the Gnome The Care Bears  Rainbow Brite (hey it was the 80's) I loved any animal shows like Jack Hanna's Animal Adventure Dang, I'll have to think about it. | I remember most of the shows listed by everyone else... I bet most of us even remember what time our favorite shows came on each week... and we were ready and waiting in front of the TV at those times. I remember suffering through the last 5 or so mintues of Wild Kingdom (which I didn't like as a child) to see Disney at 7:30 every Sunday night. I think there are so many choices for kids now days, it is hard for them to remember which shows are on when enough to get attached to any particular shows very much. Besides, they have Game Box etc Etc... and videos and DVD and computers which probably compete with TV time. I didn't have any of those when I was a child. Anne |

It's pretty scary to realize that I grew up in the days of all these classic TV shows. However, when I try to emphasize to my lovely wife that I, too, am a classic, she just refers to the excess rust and age  . Oh Well . . Of course, everyone grew up on Looney Toons. Bugs and Daffy were my roll models! And no one ever gives enough credit to the late, great Mel Blanc, the voice of all the Toons. He helped babysit an entire generation. What a great talent! One show I don't recall seeing mentioned was Combat! Pretty nifty WWII show. The local rasslin' shows, featuring Bobo Brazil, the Sheik, Hans Schmidt, Lord Athol Layton, Wild Bull Curry, Mark Lewin, (the list could go on and on) was must see TV at our house. The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson was great stuff. Got to give kudos to Ed Sullivan also. Was anything as dumb funny as Hogan's Heroes? I agree that with all the channels we have today, there is not near the quality we had then. Yes, I officially declare myself an old fogey! Merry Christmas everyone! |

Answer: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Alanis Morrisette. Britney, Christina and Justin were on the "Mickey Mouse Club". Alanis was on "You Can't Do That On Television". |

| Well, it's good to be back and see these inspiring posts. I was recently employed by *the government* and my computer wouldn't allow me to access anything worthwhile, like this website and the wonderful music. sigh. But, I'm back and I have really been going down memory lane reading about these old tv shows. I remember growing up in Los Angeles as a child back when there were only 3 tv channels! All those old Westerns, Palladin, Branded, Maverick, good grief - all kinds of great stuff. I remember when Bugs Bunny was on in the evening and I had to crack open my bedroom door to sneak a peak at the tv while my folks were watching it. Does anybody remember Honey West with Anne Francis? We were fanatics about Bonanza and, since this is related to our dear hosting site, who remembers the episode "Hoss and the Leprechaun"? My favourite. Ah, memories. I almost never watch tv these days. But I feel right at home with y'all, many of whom are apparently around my age. :-) Celtic Wombat |

| I remember watching The Lone Ranger. My brother decided to Help the Lone Ranger and got the B.B.gun out and shot the TV. That was back when TV was black And White. The Tv had an extra piece of Glass on it and that was what broke. Lucky it didn't break the tube. Boy he sure did get in trouble. |

Also, there was I Love Lucy and (it's really hard to think that far back), Father Knows Best, Make Room For Daddy, Wild Kingdom (the first color show along with The Wonderful World of Disney), The Danny Thomas Show, Bachelor Father, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Later I watched The Outer Limits and had nightmares from it. |

I watched Star Trek Hart to Hart Charlie's Angels Mork and Mindy Upstairs Downstairs (British Show) Kung Fu (the old ones) Knight Rider A-Team Daktari (Yeah I loved the Clearance and Judy) Flipper Flinstones Tom & Jerry Tweety and Slyvester Yeah I think that covers some of them. |

I loved Maxwell Smart in "Get Smart" and I remember an old TV show called "Hennesey", about a Naval Officer, but , I can't remember the star. I used to love Sgt. Preston, might be why I mush sleddogs today! I can't do anything about getting older. but I DON"T have to grow up!  |

| My favorite show was on Saturday afternoons. It was on FOX and it was called "Creature Feature". They would show Godzilla movies, old horror movies, sci-fi. . .it was great! | TV? We didn't have no stinkin TV when I was a kid! We used tube socks as puppets and put on puppet shows of course! Mom use to get so angry trying to get the magic markers out of the socks where we drew happy faces! ok ok, maybe a little Howdy DooDe time and Ed Sullivan Show |

| We watched a lot of tv as kids. I just happened to remember the other day how much I watched and loved the original Mission Impossible and another show "Beneath the Sea" Now I know I got this title wrong, but maybe someone can correct me. I was a big Batman and Robin fan too. |

I also liked all the Mickey Mouse and Looney Tunes cartoons including Foghorn Leghorn "Get away from me, boy! Ya bother me" plus his little friends the Chicken Hawk and Dawg. How about Quickdraw Magraw and Babalooie? Richochet Rabbit? Tennessee Tuxedo with the voice of Don Adams? It's after 5am - must have sleep....zzz |

| Hmm, doesn't look like anyone has mentioned "M*A*S*H" or "McHale's Navy" with Ernest Borgnine, Tim Conway and the rest of the crew outsmarting Captain Binghamton. Were you one of the millions to watch the final episode of M*A*S*H? I think it was called "Farewell & Goodbye". How about the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" or "Rhoda". Did you know that the voice of Carlton the Doorman is the same as Garfield's? Lorenzo Music has/had a distinctive voice. Man, I even remember the "Hoss and the Leprechaun" episode from "Bonanza". I may not be over the hill but I'm getting closer!  |
