Has anyone had any experience with astral projection? Is it something you would like to share? If you do, thenl this is the place.

Also feel free to share any "otherworldly" experiences.

If is it something you would rather keep prvate, than by all means please do!

How do we share the experiences and keep them private at the same time? unsure.gif

I have some minor psychic stuff, primarily seeing other peoples auras. My youngest daughter is seriously psychic. It causes her a lot of trouble.

Astral projection would be GREAT if controllable. I could stay in bed and commute to work at the same time! laugh.gif

Sorry, that was poorly worded. If your experiences are something you would rather keep private, then keep them private. Don't feel pressured to share something you don't want to share.

I don't actually see auras, but I always associate a color with people. I guess I intuit auras rather than physically see them.

I don't know for sure if what I experience is actually astral projection, but I often find myself in places that do not exist, or in a realm without form, a world of only thought and being. I see this as trans-siminsional travel to the mental and spiritual planes of existance, but if it's what one would actually refer to as Astral Projection... I don't know for sure.

As for auras, I've never seen one, but I feel as if I can tell what kind of person someone is likely is from across the room, at little more than a glance. I figure I'm probably just reading body language. Maybethere is more to it. Unsure there as well.

Seriously, As a child I used to "go away" to different places. I could removed myself from my circumstances and just go. I can see auras on certain people now. My mom and I used to know when each other was going to call or when we were in pain or trouble. not always good.

My earliest memory of Astral Projection was when I was about 3 years old. I was very sick, and laying on the couch with my mom, when all of a sudden I was "floating on the ceiling" looking down on myself and my family. It was very strange for me at the time.

There is a difference between astral projection and out of body experience. Sickness, psychic trama, and just plain old mental stress can lead to out of body experience, but to project ones being to a different place or plain on demand requires much study and caution.

This is not something to dable in without guidence, shape changing is another area that needs much study.

Hee hee, this is where the differences in spiritual study come in. In my book, astral projection is defined as any out of body experience.

There are many differnt schools of thought on this subject.

So, how about this for a discussion...what is YOUr definition of astral projection?

I find it interesting that my little sister and I can BOTH see auras. unsure.gif

Now if we can just see the next set of lottery numbers...... biggrin.gif

I'm working on it, little sister. I would very much like to focus my slight psycic ability enough to be useful. I DO NOT wish to be seriously psychic, after seeing the trouble it causes those who ARE. sad.gif

WOW! You are getting better already! You read my mind! Keep up the good work. biggrin.gif

JaneyMae, do you have psychic experiences as well? I can't profess to having any of that ability or at least have any knowledge of how to tap into it.

Posted by: Wolverine 04-Mar-2004, 06:04 AM
With psychic abilities it's not a matter of tapping in.
Everyone has psychic abilities, however due to the
present society, people fear psychic "weird" stuff.
I also had an out of body experience two times I
can remember.
Once when I was in the hospital I floated out of my body.
At first it looked like I had the same scary reaccuring dream
but I could actually hear the docter saying things very slowly.
That had something to do with the narcotics.
But I also remembered going to another room.
The second one I had about 8-9 months ago.
I was standing in my room, but it looked like I was drunk.
I tried walking, that will not work when you float... biggrin.gif
Then I realised I was having an out of body experience

My aunt was one of those California hippy-types She lived in the Hollywood hills and used to float over Hollywood Blvd. back in the day. She said that the last time she did it was very scary. The "thread" that connected her two halfs together was almost severed by a not so nice spirit. We all know what that would of caused. In the future she limited herself to solo preformances on the ouiji board and channeling.

May I ask a very basic question? What does your body feel like just prior to Astrally Projecting or having an Out-of-Body experience? I believe these are actually two different things, and would feel differently. I'm almost certain I've experienced an out-of-body episode once. It was very unexpected, definitely not consciously willed, but very, very pleasant.

There have also been times when my body has felt very strange, nothing like anything else I've experienced, and a bit frightening. As soon as I become frightened, though, the sensations stop. I've never deliberately tried to do this, it's just something that comes of it's own accord. That's why I'm asking all of you who have experience in these things to share what it feels like. It may help me to understand what is happening.

Thanks!

Like Wolverine said, you don't tap into it. You think it. Don't fear it. Let it happen and it will come..... unsure.gif That probably made no sense. If you listen you'll hear it. Anyway, I do beer_mug.gif
