Very cool. You're going to give other Celtic artists a run for their money. Start slapping those designs on calendars, prints, and tee shirts. |

Our parade went well but when it came time for the fireworks we had a real dense fog that covered the field. The stuff that was shot off the nearby mountain/hill only changed the color of the fog. Thankfully the fireworks shot off the field were still fairly visible. Great day otherwise. |

Radionomy streams are working but they are not playing Celtic Music. More new Age stuff and all three were playing the same song. Went to the "Listen Now" button and no problems. That still plays highlander radio. Problems maybe with the power outages around the country or some sort of switchover. |

Have the channels been updated yet? I was using the radionomy links but when I turn on the player it says that it is not available in my country. |

Many thanks from Ironwood Michigan, home of Hiawatha one of the world's tallest Indian statues, to the Native American people of this country who have given so much of their talents and gifts. |

Several new movies coming out. First is the Robert the Bruce story on Netflix. I haven't watched it yet but there are mixed reviews on that one. The second one is the movie Black 47. A movie about the irish potato famine starring Hugo weaving. Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6znv9iBGX6w And don't forget our favorite Scottish princess Merida makes a wee bit of an appearance in the new Wreck it Ralph movie. Just remember she's from the "other" studio. |

Recently saw the 1996 movie Lock ness with Ted Danson on TV. I had never seen it before and I found it quite entertaining. Ted plays an monster type hunter who, disgraced by his lack of bigfoot evidence, sets out to disprove the loch ness monster in order to help save his reputation. Story line is pretty usual stuff about finding love in unusual places but all and all n entertaining movie. Also would like to mention Sing Street (great 80's music movie) and Brooklyn starring Saoirse Ronan and was nominated for 3 academy awards. |

The cultural village section is beginning to fill up. Look under the "Experience" tab and see if one of your favorite artist, authors, or exhibits are attending or returning. I'm personally looking forward to the Uilleann Pipes and making a Irish stone wall demos |

I always saw Kylo as a spoiled brat prince. Seems to fit his character better. How they fix all of this mess should be interesting. Maybe the ewoks will discovered technology and show up to wipe out both sides. Saw Avengers Infinity War twice now. Good movie but not really great on my book. 3D was totally not worth the money. Don't know why they even bothered with it. Bad side for me was not enough character development. The only person I felt sorry for was Peter Parker. On the plus side it was a film that positively affirmed the value of even one life. Big thumbs up from me for that. |

Loreena Mckennitt has a lot of harp in her music along with other world instruments. Check Ren faire sites for hammered dulcimer artists. I see a few at Minnesota and Bristol every year. |

I got stuck on babysitting detail with the grandkids all weekend but I did manage to listen to some Celtic music on Sirius XM in my car and Celtic radio at home. Sirius XM had the lead singer from Flogging Molly as the guest dj. I do miss having Celtic crush come on every Sunday though. The Loft on channel 30 use to have it but they changed the format of the station and I guess Celtic Crush is only available as a download now. I do hope every else had some fun this past weekend. |

There's a couple of new bands in the lineup this year. Chili Pipers are back and I hoping that Celtica makes a return, Also, if you enjoy the music of Afrocelt you may want to check out the band called Jiggy. Apparently their YouTube video is quite popular and they combine Irish music with music of other cultures. Video is posted below. It doesn't show the band but there are plenty of other YouTube videos that do.

I can live with her role as the Doctor. I do still have reservations about the new outfit. In the silhouette of her it looks like she is wearing clown shoes. It will probably change over time just as Capaldi's outfit went through several changes. |

Hoping to finally see Black Panther this weekend. Gonna pass on Wrinkle in Time. 2018 looks like it has some good movie coming out. The next chapter of Mary Poppins, live action Winnie the Pooh, Avengers. Should be a fun year. |

I watch the hurling matches every year at Milwaukee Irish fest. Great fun and they even have a practice net if you want to give it a try. |

Probably opening a hornet's nest here but how does everyone think the new Doctor will turn out? I hope she does a good job but I know the new outfit is going to have to be something I'm going to have to get use to. |

So, a slightly new version of the Winter Carols? Looks like it with the two discs. Are they finally able to say the name "Jesus" because I've seen in the comments sections of several CD dealers that this was a bit if a big complaint and was one reason I didn't buy it. The old version is on YouTube but all I have is the EP that first came out. |
