After hearing one of the tunes from this I went and purchased the album. Boy am I glad I did! This is one of the best, innovative, and exciting albums I have heard in years. Their arrangements and phrasing are very, very good... mixing "traditional" and modern sounds. Support this band, buy the album, you will not regret it!<br><br>Review on The Stone Soup Band<br><a href='http://www.celticradio.net/php/playlist.php?start=0&limit=25&letter=&search=The+Enchanter&type=album&exact=exact'><b>Visit Album Page</b></a> |

This past weekend the band played an out of state gig. The contract stated that a PA system would be provided...well the PA failed to appear and we were forced to do an acoustic show. All I can say is it was a challenge, and we rose to it...and we hope to do more shows Sans PA!! |

Currently, in my "Armory" is a large Two-Handed sword with my clan name on the hilt, a basket hilt Claymore, a rapier, a cutlass, a main gauche, two Scots dirks, and an array of Skien Dubhs. More to come and am interested in manufacturing them. A friend used to make them from leaf springs found in old vehicles... |

This band should have worldwide acclaim!! Kevin's vocals are superb! Karen's voice and her use of the Irish Flute/tin whistle... unmatched anywhere! And Steve...well Steve is a complete and utter KING on guitar and vocals. I have had the privelage and honour to sit in with these folks on a few occassions and they are the living, breathing, PULSE of Celtic music. PLEASE play more of them on Celtic Radio!!<br><br>Review on Giant's Dance<br><a href='http://www.celticradio.net/php/playlist.php?start=0&limit=25&letter=&search=Giant's+Dance&type=album&exact=exact'><b>Visit Album Page</b></a> |

As a piper and a digeridoo player I am always mezmerized by the sound of the two together. From separate parts of the world (although there arguments suggesting that the didge was introduced to Australia by the Irish) the two seem to be fated to be played together. Wicked Tinkers and Brother come to mind immediately, but there are many others. The didge adds a dimension that is just not there with the pipes. It's like adding another drone, but one that can play rythem! The only problem I have is that in live performance I can't play both at one =)
Do you like the sound mixture? |

Just a quick note wishing everyone here in the U.S. a happy and SAFE July 4th! I will be spending mine piping around the area, maybe even a little street busquing. If you live in the Southwestern U.S. remember how dry things are and use caution with fireworks, we already have too many wilfires!
Slainte!! |
