Great Big Sea's Alan Doyle, in the new Robin Hood movie!

Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea had befriended Russell Crowe several years ago as Russell became a fan of the band. They ended up writing some songs together and last year Russell asked Alan to be in his Robin Hood film as one of the Merry Men.
His role is Allan A'Dayle and also plays a few songs on the lute during the movie.

hey all, I have seen the movie and Alan is great, he's got a good "screen" look,especially in a big blockbuster medievil movie such as this... I had the good fortune of meeting Alan once while on the great island of Newfoundland, quite frankly he's as good a comedian as he is performer.
