I have been wondering how other people are doing with spam e-mail. Mine has increased by four fold since the economy went into it`s tail spin. T times, it comes in faster than I can discard it. One thing I have noticed is, no porn. That`s a big plus but I don`t know if it is my spam filter or all the bad guys got caught and put out of business. All I know is there are a lot of people out there trying to get you to buy stuff.

It has gotten worse. My 11 year old gets spam that does not even come close to applying to him. He has received stuff about college and the armed services. Geez, let him grow up first, please!

Yes I agree. SPAM has increased slightly and it does seem that porn type stuff has diminshed. But I have also seen a lot of phishing emails purporting to be from PayPal, Bank of America, Chase, etc. so watch out.

I thought the same thing XenaWarrior. I haven't noticed them here as much as my regular mail. I agree with englishmix a lot of PayPal and the bank mailings are unbelievable to say the least. Just a sign of things to come I suppose. May be they won't be able to afford the computer services...lol

Its good to keep yourself safe from these sites and to let other people know.

Please remember not to post links in your message to these sites. It could result in our ISP shutting our internet service off as they have filters for these things. There are no links posted here, but just want to remind people.

I think with these computer attacks from North Korea everyone is paying attention to Network Security.

Thanks!
