Did anyone hit the malls this morning for the biggest shopping day of the year? If you did, did you get any real good bargains? Enquiring minds want to know! biggrin.gif

1. On my way home from work at 6:15 AM, the parking lots at K-Mart, Wallmart and Lowes Home Improvement were full and had cars circling.

2. If I can avoid it, I'll not set foot in a store till the middle of January.

I used to work at Books-A-Million. And last year we had people outside our doors at five. We didn't open until six-thirty. Sold a LOT of coffee, and more books than I can count. I'm not too sure about the 'deals' that were made, concidering it was only 10% off without a disscount card on selected items. *shrug* I didn't care for the way they did that, but I was just an employee, and not one that was listened to. Guess that's what comes of having your own mind in retail.

I totally agree with you. This madness is not worth the extra buck or two. I think a lot of people do it for the high feeling you get . smile.gif

I worked in retail as a sales associate and a store manager for 10 years. I have not set foot in a retail store during Thanksgiving weekend for the last 10. A record I'd like to keep. My brother, on the other hand, LOVES the day after. he calls it "Power Shopping" and has infected his inlaws with the disease.

"Power shopping" you say? More like suicide if you ask me.
