Tha gach uile dhuine air a bhreth saor agus co-ionnan ann an urram 's ann an còirichean. Tha iad air am breth le reusan is le cogais agus mar sin bu chòir dhaibh a bhith beò nam measg fhein ann an spiorad bràthaireil

Hallo a charaid! Hello my friend! Fàilte gu Celtic Radio! Welcome to Celtic Radio!
In my humble opinion, you have found one of the best websites ever. The people here are some of the nicest to be found anywhere on the net, and the music is simply out of this world.
So kick off your shoes, grab a mug of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage, turn up the music and have fun! I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts.
If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask anyone with the word "Guide" beneath their avatar. That's why we're here!
I am the moderator for the Celtic Languages forum here, and we would LOVE to have you visit in our little corner of this fine message board! I am also a learner, but I have not gotten far at all in my studies. I would consider myself perhaps an advanced beginner, or perhaps low-level intermediate.
Anyway, here is a link for you to the Celtic Languages forum:
Our Scottish Galeic and Welsh boards are thriving. We having a little trouble getting our Irish boards hopping, but I hope soon we'll get some people here interested in learning that language as well. Come by and visit with us!
Again, it is so nice to have you with us. We are like one big family here, and we just love welcoming new members to the fold! I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us, and that you will come back and visit with us often. I feel quite certain that you will grow to love the place as much as I have.
Welcome to the family, my friend! And welcome home!

Is it possible to work as a teacher in the Western Isles if you don't speak fluent Gàidhlig??? As a historyteacher??

Thank you all! - again! very very friendly board! some others that i'm a member of should take note of this friendliness
Aye it is possible to work as a teacher in the Western Isles without Gaelic! there is very little Gaelic spoken there and even less taught. so if you go to www.cne-siar.gov.uk - the western isles council you can check the vacancies there! and oh, Harris is much better than lewis! there is a lot of rivalry between the two islands and there is the same in the Uists! North and South! and Barra and Eriskay!

Listen, let me tell you something... when you have a fascination, an interest that comes from that deep in the heart, you hold onto it & enjoy it without consideration for what anyone thinks or says or does!! I've had a similiar love for England since I was about 12 years old. It took more than 25 years to finally visit the land itself and it was even better than I had imagined! Just mentioning it makes a smile come even now, and I thank God for allowing me to visit under the most ideal circumstances possible - and for the record, that was His planning not my own.
Keep your dreams! Siobhan Blues
