My daughter, my niece and I are going to Claddagh's Irish Pub in Westlake, Ohio. They have live entertainment all day. I'll be sporting lots of fun green attire and drinking Smithwicks!
What fun ways are the rest of you planning to celebrate?
We are either heading to the twin cities for a GBS convert and other goodies or trying to find something around town. So far there is only one Irish dinner being held by the youth group of our church so it looks like St. Paul/Minneapolis.

Piped the first party of the week yesterday, and have another one Friday. On Saturday I start off at 9:00 AM piping after a St. Patrick's Day mass, then I expect to essentially play pipes all day long, and well into the night.
Every year I give up beer for lent I and forget that St. Pat's is right in the middle of it. So I have Rememberable (not the same as memorable) St. Pats days Well perhaps next year I will remember so then i can drink enough to forget a memorable day. got that?

As some of you may know. Like last year. I was planning on renting a kilt, and going to McCarthy’s St Paddy’s day party. But I’m afraid I’m going to have to amend that, because St Paddy’s day conflicts with a huge impeach Bush demonstration in Washington, which I will be attending instead. Hey, maybe I’ll wear the kilt to that?

John, if you wear a kilt to the demonstration you might run off half the crowd!
Not unless that's someone else's picture in his profile . . . I think it's a grand idea actually. Any act of individualism in this robotic regime is a good idea.

I'll be starting out Friday night playing with an Irish band called Finnegan's Wake at a pub in Bellingham. Then early early Saturday morning (9:30am groan), one of my other bands, Maggie's Fury will play for the Running of the Green, a charity run. Then in the afternoon back to the pub downtown with FW. Immediately after I'll be racing down to Mount Vernon to play with MF at a brew pub/restaurant for the rest of the night. Follow that up Sunday by skiing up at Mt Baker. That schedule ought to keep me busy if not out of trouble!
We are going to a St. Patrick's Day dance at the moose lodge. Hubby came in from the meeting Wed. nite and said they were going to have a rock n roll band. So I guess I will have to load up my CD's and introduce the rednecks to the right kind of music.
