I just checked the forecast for this weekend. I don't think I'll be going to the Chicago South Side Irish Parade this Sunday. It will be in the low 30s. People who do go either will 1) not be feeling it, if you get my drift , or 2) be thinking "forget the beer, where's the coffee?"
The Dunkin' Donuts on 104th & Western will be selling a lot of their exquisite coffee on Sunday.
On a serious note, the parade organizers and Chicago's Finest have done a much better job at curbing the consumption of alcoholic beverages by parade spectators. It used to be pretty bad. I do most of my drinking at home. I may look stupid falling off the couch, but I can't get a DUI for it.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
My sister's kids are over here right now. She had to take Amy, the youngest, to the hospital for dehydration. Megan & Jay just got reacquainted with some old friends-the smiley faces on Uncle Mike's computer (aka the Celtic Radio smiley faces) ...
Friday night hubby and I went to a community theatre for An Emerald Evening. Featured performances by the trio Ceol Cridhe and the McTeggart Dancers. What an enjoyable evening!!!! Saturday was spent at a local rollarskating rink, celebrating the birthdays of our youngest granddaughter and a great niece. So many kids!!!!
I'd be a happy man if I never had to look at another tube of Dap again. But I know I'll be picking it up again when I get home tonight.

"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."

This coming weekend will be fun, Saturday we'll celebrate my 31st Birthday. WE always celebrate St. Paddy's day, and my birthday the same weekend. (Well, thursday-Saturday, depending on the year!)

Wow, I hadn't even thought of that Mike! Nah, I'll just 30, even if it's just in my dreams! Maybe i'll just stay 30 forever!
I just had a thought, Becca. Maybe it would be a good idea to post your new name on a new forum in general discussion so everyone will know. Otherwise a lot of people won't know who you are.
