| Hey I just noticed we have the chat button is back! Thank you to the wonderful & powerful Oz... Now if I can catch someone there it will be nice to chat! Richard, Elspeth and I catch up on more when we are all in the chat room than on phones...so nice to save our money for the reunion. See ya in the chat room guys! |

| according to my logs, the server was online and peachy between 07:14:49 and 23:01:44 Eastern Time on 05/05/04, then dropped out for a while a little after midnight and as of the time I write this, last come back online at 04:32:53 on 05:06:04. It should be noted, that the DNS entries are not updated immidiately after a reconnect, but rather at regular 60 minute intervals (a reconnect does not reset that timer) |

| I was able to connect and chat last night. Unfortunately, I was chatting with someone I wasn't familiar with and who I've never seen a post from, so I can't remember his name. If you're reading this, sorry! Anyway, if any of us can hookup on the chat line that would be nice.  |

Everytime I sign in I get this message: --CelticRadio-- I don't recognize you from that host. --CelticRadio-- Either you are using someone else's nickname or you need to type: /MSG CelticRadio IDENT (password) It still lets me, in but I don't understand this message! Am I signing in incorrecctly somehow? |

| I had no problem a couple days ago. Got on and chatted away. Did you have any kind of error message or did typed text just not appear? Did you try changing the colour using the pallette next to the text box? |

| Well the first time I got on and tried to type and no words appeared. The second time I tried to get on I couldn't connect to it at all. I think I'm doing something wrong. |

| Not necessarily. Aaediwen said that the server had gone down for a time. Try it again. I can't get on to chat while I'm at work, but I can do it from home. So maybe we can chat later if you can get on. |

| Wizardofowls: That message is from the Channel Service. you remember what password you used when you registered with: /msg NickServ REGISTER (password) That message is asking you to Identify yourself as the owner of that handle with: /msg NickServ IDENTIFY (password) I think Paul is arranging the client so that if you put that password in the chat client, then it will automatically take care of this for you. The reason I always show, is that I'm always logged into the server. I leave my IRC client running all the time, rather I'm here or not So I'm always there even if I'm AFK and at work. |

| I was able to get on this morning but when I tried to get on this evening I couldn't connect. It kept telling me that there was no such channel. HELP!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I get logged in. The bottom of the screen says I'm on (I'm not on the list as being on) but then the message says the server can't connect. Aaediwen, can't this be made more simple to just be logged on and go? |

| I'd have to know exatly what it says. That chat client is kindof misleading, and seems like I recall the first button at the bottom (the square smiley) works better than the one that looks like it would connect you. The other one, gets you connected to the server, but not into the channel. if you hit it by accident, then you can use the following to join the channel: /join #CelticRadio MacFive: might want to see if you can configure that interface to be a little easier to understand which button ppl should use to connect. |

| Aaediwen, I finally got on the chat and could type messages (but nobody was on). How do I change my name on there? It just showed the first letter of my nickname. On the CR forum page, I'm listed as a guest. How come I'm not recognized as being in the chat? |

| to change your nick, use: /nick your_new_nick Note that spaces won't word, but the ever popular underscore works wonders once again =) As for not showing up, the bot eas recently migrated to the new server, which required some code updates. I just finished my side of the fixes a minute ago, and you should show up mext time you come in =) |
