It was in response to exploding health ins. premiums that obama pledged to give federal authorities the power to block unreasonable rate hikes.
However when D's unveiled the final, form of their health care bill, that proposal was nowhere to be found.
No R ideas were in the bill as he stated would be the case.
They still do not have the vote and from what information I received, for the two votes they gained, they lost three.
Keep the pressure on your representatives. That is the only power "we the people" have until November. If all else fails a short Western Union message can work wonders.
