Sorry I don't get to wander often in the Scottish forums - which is a shame being half Scottish 'n all!!! Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to start writing an essay on traditional Welsh customs at Christmas, but I had a revolutionary idea... seen as I am half Scottish, I want to discuss some Gaelic (rather than "Scottish" because I suppose studying Welsh means I have to restrict myself to Celtic matters and I'd like to focus on the Gaidhealteachd as a comparison to the Bro Gymraeg) traditions and customs and do a compare and contrast between the two sister cultures. Would you be able to give me some website addresses or ideas of where to look for good information? Do you have/are there any particular customs and traditions you would like me to mention? It was never a holiday, there were very few holidays in Scotland and still that way compared to the rest of Europe.
