So I was wondering what you guys plan to do for Lammas, it might bring some inspiration.
But hey, maybe it'll come all by itself when time goes by. It did so last time as well. *g*

| Well, it's not that much time until Lammas... and I've been asked whether I'd do the ritual for our circle, which is no must but well, I might think of something... So I was wondering what you guys plan to do for Lammas, it might bring some inspiration. But hey, maybe it'll come all by itself when time goes by. | I'll be piping a wedding that evening, so I won't be able to be as involved in my coven's Lammas ritual as I'd like. I do plan on dropping by just as soon as I'm done to be as participatory as I can. |

| I guess I'm a old traditionalist. Here is the traditional version as best as I can google it up. Lammas and ughnasadh Two ancient festivals with similar purposes are celebrated on August 1. Lammas is one of the four major pagan festivals originally celebrated in Britain and now celebrated in other countries, including the United States. During medieval times, loaves were baked from the first grains of the harvest and blessed in a church ceremony known as the "loaf mass". Many believe that "lammas" is a shortened form of "loaf mass". Others attribute "lammas" to a combined form of "lamb" and "Mass" which reflects a time when lambs were offered as a tribute to feudal lords. Lughnasadh (LOO-nah-sah) marks the beginning of the last quarter of the Celtic year. The festival is associated with the Irish god Lugh, or Samildanach, which means "he of many gifts". Lugh held funeral games in honor of his foster-mother Tailtiu, the goddess of agriculture who died while clearing the Irish forests in preparation for planting. Both festivals celebrate the fruits of the harvest with games and contests and a magnificent feast. In this sense, the celebrations are similar to the American Thanksgiving holiday and the Jewish Feast of Weeks, or Shavuot. |

| I'm not sure yet but I'm planning to so a dinner with 2 friends which are pagan.Maybe if we can we will do a ritual,we didn't do it since a long time by now because we live 45min from each other.I am doing more gardening ,I spend more time outside and I think it help me to feel more connect with nature.If you need some inspiration,just take a walk outside in nature or in the woods,look around you and I'm sure something will appear. |

| Oh, I'm sure if I shall have an idea it will come when the time is right for it to come. As I said, inspiration did come last time as well, when it was ready for it to come. I was just curious if there was anyone who already knew what he or she wanted to do. Taking a walk in nature is rather difficult here. I'm living in Berlin and although my home is rather at the edge of the city and I'm lucky enough to have a house with a garden (well, actually my parents own it, I'm just living with them) it's a little far from quiet nature or even woods.  |
