We have an opening for a moderator of the "Celts" forum.
Like all moderators, you should have an interest in the topic of the forum and be willing to post a few messages now and then about that topic. In this case it is the history and culture of the Celts.
Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you!
Those forums are open to anyone that wishes to start one. We have the 3 out of 7 Celtic Nations represented right now and there is no reason why we can not have more. Just let me know. The only thing I would ask if you do decide to start another Celtic Nation forum is that initially if you could place some posts and information in there.
As far as an 'American Celtic' forum I do not have plans to start such a forum. I would be willing to start a Geneological forum in the Special Interest Catagory if there is someone willing to invest the time in that.
well.. as it seems to me there are not many people interested in Britanny, since it is not counted as one of the great Celtic nations *sighs*
I would gladly do it, simply because for me it is a way to remember Amelie and my Nozaic roots which are very important to me. I'm not as great a storyteller but if ppl would be interested I would do it.. but I fear the interest is lacking since Scotland & Ireland are the ones that are always in front.. *sighs*
*grummels* I really have to sell that soap box one of these days
Ooh! MacFive! A geneological forum??????? That would be so cool. Yeah! Do it! I am a greenhorn in the area of genealogy as I just started in it myself, but I am sure we all could learn from each other.
Personally I do not think an "American Celtic" forum is appropriate. But what do I know and that is just my two cents, for whatever it is worth.
Instead of a forum directed at America or the Americas, a forum for the worldwide Celtic diaspora would be more inclusive of all contributions made by the emigrants (forced or willing) from the Celtic nations.
Keltic, that's a better idea in that sense, definitly. Better than the American-Celtic one alone. I mean you all know my criticising point to this though (It's not ONLY celtic, there is so many things running together!)

I really like the Idea of a seperate forum set up for the Northern America's. I don't really belong under Scotland cause I don't live there even though I have strong ties to that country.
So I figure all of us here in Canada, America, Mexico really need our own site. We don't live there even thou our families came from there it just doesn't feel right for me. Now I'm not speaking for anyone else. Just me! Also I'm very proud to be an American. America always supports other countries. We are a universal leader to support the oppressed.
So yea! (playing the Battle Hymn of the REpulic) I believe we need our own site...
We should have something like this cause we have the Scotland Forum, Ireland, Wales and Celtic. We have American Celtics too! so where is my forum to represent my country...since it was set up into country's.
