Lady Leelee was so upset that she had lost the prize she didn't know what to do with herself How was she to know such a beautiful bird would cause such treachery.....
The little bird had flown back sometime later to witness Lady Leelee's sorrow and felt so ashamed to cause such misery. The bird took council with the snake to share her observations. They came to an agreement......Hoss had slipped into a fitful nap under an old oak tree. The snake slithered slyly into Hoss' pocket and took the prize unnoticed.
Leelee had tired herself out with worry and she too had fallen asleep under the willows by a gurgling brook. The snake slithered over and placed the prize in front of her, for when she awakes she will see her beloved prize. The snake then slithered into the brook to cool off from his long journey. The beautiful bird was in fact a songbird. She sang her best tune to awaken Lady Leelee, as she wanted to see the joy that she had brought her.
"What a beautiful melody, I must be dreaming"....Lady Leelee opened her eyes to be blinded by the glinting sun shimmering off of the prize...."Oh my word!!!! The prize!! Was it all a bad dream"????? Lady Leelee put the precious prize into her velvet pouch and securely tied it around her waist. She then sat back to enjoy the trill of the beautiful song bird as she beamed with joy and contentment.
This pleased the bird and felt forgiven. The songbird sang with her heart brimming...and thought to itself, this is the best tune I've sung in a long time
AHA! I have the last posting to date, and now I've warped time so that all other posts will come before it, regardless of their appearance. Look closely, my friend, and then shuffle off in defeat!
