Hi, I just joined and am stopping by to to introduce myself. I am a 68 year old retiree, former fish doctor, ergo my username FISHDOC. I love music, especially Appalachian folk music and traditional Celtic. I am not a musician although I dabble with the banjo, hammered and Appalachian dulcimers, and just picked up a penny whistle. So I am anxious to listen to lots of penny whistle music and perhaps pick up a few tips to help me learn how to play. I also am going to try to make a plastic low D whistle from hot water PVC pipe. Eventually I would like to make a wooden penny whistle, but have not been able to find any instructions on how to do this - so if you can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Well, good listening to all of you, and I am looking forward to meeting some of you. FishDoc |
