I am so excited!

For the first time since 1961, back when Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita were in their prime, the Blackhawks are drinking from Lord Stanley's mug! They defeated the Phliadelphia Flyers four games to two, in dramatic fashion. Patrick Kane scored the game winning goal in overtime.

This feels almost as good as when my White Sox won the World Series in 2005.

May the luck of the Irish enfold you.

Congratulations! Although I'm a Redwings fan, I'd rather see the Hawks get it than Philly! thumbs_up.gif

Congratulations MDF3530 and the Blackhawks!!! It's such a great feeling when your team wins a championship.
I was rooting for them (although a Bruins fan back since the Orr and Esposito days)
Always nice seeing one of the Original 6 having success.

Awesome. I never liked the Flyers, especially this year (I'm a Habs guy). I've liked the Blackhawks since Eddie Belfour's days, and got to see them play Edmonton a few years back (my one and only NHL game).

I've only ever been to three Blackhawks games myself. Two were against Vancouver and one I think was a playoff game against Calgary. My friend and I just went to the games and bought standing room tickets. Twice, we got lucky and actually got to sit down. We said we'd sit until the people came along and they never did.

I've been to a lot of Chicago Wolves (AHL) games though. The Wolves kept Chicago hockey fans going through a lot of lean Blackhawks years, winning two Turner Cups in the old IHL and two Calder Cups in the AHL.
