I was looking on a website (http://www.arandirect.com/islands_inis_oirr.php) to be exact, there is a short video with a clip of a song. I wanted to find the title so I could download it. These are the lyrics from what I can hear.

Its a sad and lonely land
that can't protect her own
hold on to its most precious prize
an island to view
with so much to give
in a culture
they love and understand
many tears have been shed
at her ports and and (something)
goodbyes that break many hearts
but they go (something)
and someday they'll return
for some it is a cherished dream
take me to my island tonight
where my heart it longs to be
to hear the birds in sweet
sing in june
my love it is a wonderful want
for a land who lost her young
for i long to be there tonight

This is all i could hear, some of it may be wrong but if you recognize it that would great

Here's a link about it
http://www.celticradio.net/php/forums/inde...?showtopic=8812

I cross referenced E-music, and that's definitely it. Unfortunately, none of the 15 hits on E-music appear to have lyrics. All insturmentals

I've emailed for more information on the video from that site regarding the origins of the song in the video. Should hear back shortly. If not, then I declare war on people not giving credits in videos to the content!

Arm up on ale and pub music!

(Sorry to bring up a dead topic!)

This song is one of the five sung in the show Ragus, however, this is only part of the lyrics. I have the DVD, but since it's all but impossible for me to fast-forward and rewind on my DVD player (I lost the remote) it's driving me nuts trying to write down the entire lyrics. I'm hoping to learn this song to sing at a session in a few weeks, so if anyone knows the entire lyrics or has a link to a full video, it'd be very helpful if you could share and I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!
