CD Contests, New Direction

Just wanted to float an idea out there for our monthly CD contest.

We are thinking on changing the direction of the CD contests to be more of an interactive contest in this manner.

Each month there will be a web page listing all of the CDs that are available. A countdown timer will be displayed at the top and when it reaches 12 PM on the 1st of each month, members will be able to select which CD they wish to have.

First to select wins that CD automatically and it will be displayed immediately that person has won the CD.

We will probably have some rules established in the program. So many founders, so many regular members, etc.

Does this sound like something people would be interested in? Any other ideas, post in this thread.

When some people get up at 3:30AM to go to work, staying up to
take part isn't an option. As with the facebook thing, this leaves people out.

Yes, that is a good point. How about the CDs become available at 4 hour intervals - so that over a 24 hour period you would have the opportunity to get a CD.

I had not thought about that, but it is a good point.

Part of our reason for possibly going this route is to try and automate the contest a bit, but also we have alot of CDs that go unclaimed because people may use an Email account to register for websites, but may not actually check the email for the CD contest!
