I wrote this a while ago, can't guarantee it's any good, but thought I'd share it anyway. The Winding Trail The wind swirls and twirls the leaves of the trees. The birds call out to speak with their acquaintances. The sky is filled with gray and heavy clouds filled with rain. The air feels cool against the traveler?s skin. The path winds to and fro around large trunks of old trees. The traveler?s breathing speeds up as she reaches her destination. A small glen opens up to the side of her. The rippling of the creek in the glen is a soothing and comforting sound to her. An old oak tree, bigger than the others and twice as old beckons her to take a rest in its welcoming roots. She settles down to contemplate what life had put before her. She sees that although it looked hard she realizes that she makes the journey hard or easy, based on her decisions. |

Nics. I liked the visuals (very emotive) . The rhythm was a bit off but ,for free verse, its ok. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. |

I agree with Urian. Could use a little work to make it flow a little smoother, but really nice visuals there |
