It is that time again for a bunch of new music to keep your Celtic music flavors fresh and exciting. This time round we have a wonderful mix of music that is sure to please.
A few exceptional notes to make:
Emerald Rae's Contemplaytion - Emerald is is a National Scottish Fiddle Champion (2004) and has just released a new album. She's also a talented Cape Breton Stepdancer taking the stage for such fiddling giants as Alasdair Fraser and Natalie MacMaster!
Paddyrasta's Listen to your Heart - Paddyrasta are a multi-cultural celtic-reggae band fusing traditional and contemporary celtic tunes with a distinctly rootsy Jamaican reggae groove. It's the type of diversity that fits right in on Highlander Radio, mixing the old, with the new, with the different. Check out their website and purchase their CD through this special link. You will receive one of their awesome Paddyrasta badges which I am proudly wearing today!
Dom Duff's Lagen - This French Celtic Brittany album is all in French, but definitely Celtic! There is just something about French and Celtic that is a wonderful mix. Give him a listen!
Lasairfhíona Ní Chonaola's Flame of Wine - This Lasairfhíona's second album and is just as good, if not better, than her first. This has got to be some of the most beautiful inspiring Irish Gaelic music and that is why she is a featured artist on Highlander Radio.
Other new music added today:
Solas - The Hour Before Dawn
Various Artists - Seeking Serenity
Pierce Campbell - Songs of The Drink, Songs of The Sea
