here for you scottish: the lyrics :)
I just like that song and think it's one of the best corries songs

Quote
Bannockburn ? The Corries

King Eddie said were ready now to steal the stone of scone.
He brought his biggest army but discovered then the truth,
In Bannockburn he found that he was up against
the Bruce!

*Chorus* Well we raised our pipes and the English kept a coming,
But they wirny quite so happy when we geed the pipes a blaw.
Struck once more, they began a runnin,
Ready, steady, Eddie, go its time to shoot the
craw.

Well we had a bowl of porridge and a wee bit pinch o' salt,
We had a dram o' whisky and it was the finest malt.
We each wore a tammy and we wore the philabeg,
Eddie was in terror when he seen the hairy legs!

(Chorus)

Well, poor King Edward nearly had a fit,
When he seen his cavalry fallin doon a pit.
His men looked up from the trap that Bruce had built,
And they were shocked to find out what was worn beneath the kilt.

(Chorus)

He sent forth archers, a group of country folk,
They erred and they burred, what a funny way they spoke.
With those archers, Eddie had a go,
But they were as effective as the ones on radio.

(Chorus)

On the fastest horse that you ever saw,
King Eddie went a racing o'er the border and awa'
He was fond of Scotland, but never did return,
He didn't like the welcome that he got at Bannockburn

(Chorus)

WOW!! I wouldn't mind at all looking out my window and seeing a view such as that.   The horses are beautiful.  They look to be about the same color as my 14 year old Standardbred.  She is beautiful and spoiled so bad.  She loves an occasional sweet of whatever you have in your hand, a cookie, marshmallows or even a breath mint.  She is not choosy.  My hubby gave her to me as a 30th wedding anniversary present last Sept.

Have fun in Scotland!  :D

Will drop a message to Paul on this as well. Weird though from the main page if you click on the last post info side you can get to that topic just not to the others. Will drop him a note on this thanks!

And sorry for all the hassles. We'll get it nailed soon I hope.

And great view :)

Well, the view maybe not the most beautiful in scotland but is ok tho.
Always when I saw those policemen riding across the window when I was in scotland for easter, I thought how wonderful it would be to go for a ride through the highlands. Only a horse, some sheep and birds... must be great.
The horse I used to ride died a few weeks ago :( But she was quite old (23 years). A shire-horse.

And about those bugs on the iconboard... I'm sure you and Paul will get that fixed :)

Thanks, I posted the video link on the Tartan Terrors facebook page. Same sense of humor and they sing their own version of Scotland Depraved so I now they will like it. Maybe they can make their own version and we can get a new video of it.
