High Mileage Cars

How many pints per hour is that (or six packs per hour).

A 1980 Nova 6-cylinder with 150,000 miles. New brakes, filters, altenator, starter, belts and one radiator is all I can remember. Heads have never been off. Body and interior are crap. Just sold 1976 International Scout to man who's driving it every day. Heads have never been off that one either and odometer's been around twice that I know of. But it GULPS fuel.

Ya know Raven if you trade that boom box in for an MP3 player with Celtic radio playing on it you could decrease wind resistance and increase that milage!

But drastically reduce the cool factor.

In the tradition of high mileage cars. We bought my youngest son, (he paid), a 95 Chevy S10 pick-up, 171k on it. 4 cylinder, 5 speed. $200.00. Red, not bad body at all, little rocker rust, other than that solid body, bed is solid also, frame is solid. Replaced, spark plugs, wires, pcv, o2 sensor, interior mini lamp, tail pipe, catalytic converter, oil filter, oil, anti freeze, ATF (wierd uses ATF in a manual tranny), 2 lower ball joints, one upper ball joint, cost $303.73usd. Labor, older son, cost 2 pizzas. 4 new tires $427.87, runs great, real torquey in lower gears. lots of fun, now I don't have to worry about our vehicles in his hands.

Lower viscosity=improved fuel economy. Same reason most, if not all, newer vehicles are using 5w20 motor oil.

Would that be 5w30 rather than 5w20?
