Tonight 5/3/10 @ 7:26 PM the birth of my first grandchild, a girl, Kaisy Grace!
7.5 pounds at 22 inches long.

A long labor of almost 23 hours...

Don't tell her mom I am going to call her Gerty! LOL!

You know, we started calling our oldest Chili Bean when she was born. Actually, the DH did. She's 23. He still calls her that. I don't even want to tell you what happens in front of her friends! laugh.gif

Congratulations to you, that's a very special moment; I loved being a Grandmother, and was at the hospitals, in the birthing room, when both were born ~ keep in mind, I didn't asked to be that up close and personal, but it's where they wanted me to be ! ~ you'll have the time of your life, have fun and enjoy, then they become teen-agers and everything changes but still, feel very special that I am the Grandmother I am !

Gerty... just to be obnoxius and contrary, I don't like the name they picked... the Grace middle name I can live with so I will probably call her that or KAY.
