I have never been there but heard its a great time . I am a member of clan Henderson also 2 of my friends that I practice piping with and my pipemajor will be there . Its 2.5 hrs away from Hagerstown Md and I don't get off work till 7 am Sat. but will be going if I can talk the lovely lassie I married to into help with the driving . Hope to see you there but if not Have a Great time.

So in order to fix that problem, here goes.

My name is Melissa, SCAdian'ly known as Siobhan MacDermott. I just got back into the Society a few months ago after a hiatus for getting married, having children, and getting my life somewhere around organized. Meanwhile I became the director for an American Civil War living history group (11th Pennsylvania, Co. I) and sunk myself so far into research and events that I've yet to see air.

...but I don't miss the Games. I have my priorities. ::grin::

My mini-clan and I will be there, most likely lurking around the Clan MacBain tent. I was abduct...um, adopted by them down at Grandfather Mountain a few years ago, but I'm a Gordon by birth. I've been commanded to begin baking meat pies and pasties tomorrow, so my work's cut out for me.

I tried. Honest I did. Unfortunately, as what happens just about every other year, my husband's side of the family has their vacation that week, and given the choice between Pennsic and a beach house in Delaware...well, it's a tough choice, but the beach tends to win out. Next year vacation's in July, though, so we're hoping to make it then.

I drove past Cooper's Lake yesterday taking my sister back to college...does that count? LOL!

War is fun,, but it can be dirty and hot.. and sleepless...
Hot August nights in a tent...or nice ocean breeze
I might be tempted to sneak away to the Eastern Shore myself..
