We're actually down under $4.00 a gallon for the first time in a few months. When I passed the station this morning, the sign read $3.98!

gas went down 2 cents yesterday, now it's $4.16. Hubby and I was in Mosheim, Tn. over the weekend and paid $3.80 for a gallon of gas...

Around the area it varies today from $3.64 to $3.86.

We're down to $3.95 per gallon at this. The sad thing was that this couple ran out of gas at one of the rest stops I was at yesterday. they needed cash to get gas to get back home. All I had was $5.00....realized that would barely get them 1 gallon. How sad is that?! When I went to get cash to give them, they were no where to be found....I felt so badly....but obviously they found they're way on the rest of the way.

I try to keep a twenty folded behind my business cards but that does not buy much gasoline either. I have noticed that VERY few people fill up anymore at the service station near me. Our unemployment came in just under 8% and appears to be getting worse. I drive less than usual now but with family spread out I still drive quite a bit. AAA says most of their calls now are for fuel and our state patrol has a dispenser that will meter gas from their tank on most of their cars. They may not be doing that now though.

We are still at $4.19. It was $3.89 a gallon 100 miles away. I sure hope the prices start dropping here soon.

My auto has an oversized tank and I try not to let it get too low. I have noticed the same effect.
