To Arms. To Arms
I say
To Arms for this
My Lads be the day
Draw forth thy Swords
And sheath them not
Lest ye be Dead
Or Victory ours.

To Horse my Lords
And ride forth thus
With Lances couched
For the thrust.
Let Axes crash
To render shields
And strew the foe
Across the field.

Ye Bowman
Loose thy barbed yards
Make slaughter Music
For the Bards.
Pike men to the
Front arrayed
Lead us Forward
To the Fray
Advance the Standard
Let it be so
Onward Lads
For Freedom now.

Hi Camac, if it weren’t for having to look the occasional word, I would have responded sooner.

Anyway, the Battle does it for me.

Thanks,
JC

I see a great Laird here adressing it's troops to battle as I often read in books of legends and your poem narrates what was probably said to the warriors of each clans before they would engage battle with the hated English.death.gif

Great poem Camac, thank you.
