Thanks Jason,
Definitely going to have one......or maybe two! there. I'm really looking forward to it. It will be so different than the rest of my hol which I'm spending in Donegal. That part is very slow and relaxed.

There is a story that goes around Glasgow, I think it may be an urban legend.
A small child attended his first day at school. When the teacher asked his name, he said he was Gooey.
"Gooey?" asked the teacher, " Is that a nickname?"
"No" said the little boy,"it's my name."
The teacher didn't want to make a big thing on his first day and so decided to ask the parent when he was collected.
when the mother arrived, the teacher asked how to pronounce his name.
"Gooey," replied the mother.
The teacher was astonished and again asked if it was a nickname. Again the answer was no. The teacher then asked how the child had gotten this name.
The mother answered that they had chosen out of a book of childrens names.
When asked how to spell it , she answered "G-U-Y".
When they chose the name , they had never heard it pronounced. The child was called GUY. rolleyes.gif

I just thought you would all like to see a picture of my nephew in his kilt taken a his recent 1st Holy Communion.
All the wee boys wore the kilt and looked great but I have to say (completely without prejudice , of course! ) that Patrick looked like he was born to wear it.

Mike , I too will be thinking about and praying for your mum. A year ago at Christmas, my sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has undergone her surgery, chemo and radiotherapy and is out the other side, fit and well. Breast cancer is so much more treatable now ( if that is even what it is, cos as Annabelle says , it could just as easily be benign). Ihope that all goes well for you and yours.

Hi FrozenRose,
I,m sorry that you are feeling so low just now.
The first thing I would say is that you should not feel bad about this . You acted in good faith and opened your heart to someone that you thought you knew. That is nothing for you to be ashamed about- shame on them!!!
Secondly, I do agree with gtrplr, You should definitely speak with an adult that you trust and explain what has happened .Your safety is so important ( although it IS probably someone you know who is trying to mess with your head as a silly joke). I'm sure they will be able to reassure you and help get it into proportion - I know from personal experience that mulling these things over in your head without having a chance to discuss them with someone else tends to blow everything up to monster proportions and sometimes just saying it out loud to someone else can make it feel more controlled and managable.
I do hope that you fel better soon and get to put all this behind you. smile.gif

Been to see two films recently,
"Shaun of the dead" and "Win a date with Tad Hamilton"

Got to see both for free!!!!

"shaun" is a great wee film - tongue-in-cheek zombie film . I was very pleasantly surprised. Well worth a view.

"Tad Hamilton" was a typical Hollywood chick-flick and it definitely delivered. There was a real ahhhh factor at the end. Again worth a look.

A wee bit of nurse humour....

a young nurse approaches a patient with a basin in order to wash his face and hands.

"Nurse," he says from behind his oxygen mask "are my testicles black?"

The young nurse is very embarrassed and stutters "Sir, I'm only here to wash your face and hands!"

"Yes , Yes, but are my testicles black?"

Again the nurse reiterates that she is there only to freshen up his face and hands.

The ward sister is walking by at that moment and notices the distress of the young nurse." Is there a problem here? she asks.

The patient again asks from behind the oxygen mask "Are my testicles black?".

The sister , being a seasoned campaigner, briskly pulls the curtains , whips back the covers and studies that particular part of the patient's anatomy.

"Sir, there is nothing wrong with your testicles, Their colour is fine."

"No, No!" he says and pulls the oxygen mask off...

"ARE.. MY.. TEST.. RESULTS.. BACK..?" doctor.gif
