“Wat Bleift”

From their website:

“Whoever is looking for party-style folk music would not necessarily think of Luxembourg as a first choice. However, if you risk looking across the borders, you will definitely make a find in the small Grand-Duchy when it comes to folk rock passion.”

Here is the link to grab it!

Our apologies, we have to take care of the November contest. We have not been doing as many contests because of the risk of COVID and going to the post office but we will set one up later today. Will see if we got a good one for the December contest.

The Pikeys

“The Sons of War and Whisky”

“90’s Punk Scene products Ben and Mike. Their thundering Power Punk Core of guitar (Mike), bass (Glenn), vocals (Ben) and drums (Hennessey) is completely complimented by the addition of fiddle (Erik) and banjo (Buji). The Pikeys’ sound is aggressively organic. Like a visit from the Ghost of Saint Patrick’s Day Future, they shiver the heart and thrill the soul. Ranging from intensely dramatic, hair raising adventures to bawdy and rowdy limericks about liquor; The Pikeys will transport you to a time and place where the injustices of the world are thwarted by ballads and unity of spirit.”

We might resume our monthly CD contests soon with a new Celtic Folk group from California that is sending us a few CDS.

And for that matter our Founder's special contests too.

Things are going so well on updating the site with alot of the major work completed. It will be either July or August that we will start the CD contest and leaning towards July once these new CDs arrive.

Agreed! We are looking forward to posting a founder contest soon with some nice goodies. I think as you see things starting to imrpove on the site and we finish up planned work our contests will come back to pre-pandemic levels.

We are going to post something soon about this month's CD contest on Erin Ruth - wonderful musician from San Francisco!

It's always nice for us old foegies that still use CD's!

I still prefer CD's. If the internet goes down, I have a ton of music and movies to listen to or watch.

Bring on the CDs!!

We have not forgotten about the CD contests! We have several lined up however our work on the site took up alot of our time over the past 2-3 months. The good news is the website is nearing completion. We will post 2 new CDs this month for November 1st.

I agree with having CDs, just like DVDs everyone said we should be streaming movies but now most of the movies we want to watch cost ya. So we just slip that Ol DVD in the blueray player.
