Private Messages, Change in Policy

The private messenging system of Celtic Radio is one of the most popular behind the scenes features of our site. Every day we handle hundreds of private messages between members in our safe and secured system.

Starting today new members will need to post atleast 5 messages in the Celtic Radio Forums before they can begin using the system. An error message will appear if you try to access the messenging system.

Once you post atleast 5 messages, you will gain access to the private messenging system and you will be able to send messages to any member.

Current members who have posted atleast 5 messages in the forums need not to worry. Enhanced and Premium accounts do not have to post any messages to use the private messenging system.

I am frozen out of the system altogether. I can't read or send any messages. All I get is a notification that I need to post 5 times before I can use the PM system.

We had some bugs pop up with the new spam protection we created. The requirement is now 5 posts to send emails from the message board and to send private messages.

We believe we have fixed the issue and have tested it out tonight. Unfortunately, some new members may need to post a few more messages to get to 5 posts as the counter was not working properly.

Our apologies, but this spam protection will prevent our systems from being used by malicious people that want to take advantage of legit sites resources.

No worries, all is well for me now. I now have the minimum 5 posts under my belt.

Thats great news - glad it is working. Our testing showed it to work, but there is no better testing than a live member!
