Thanks Cat! Now that is one Runrig site I have not seen. I added it to my favorites's list, which is getting pretty long! Now we can keep up with their activities better here. Sure wish I could buy some of their DVDs here, but so far no luck. Our format here in the states doesn't match the ones in GB. But I will keep looking.
I am a French Runrig fan but unfortunately I have never seen the band live ! I keep waiting for them to come for a gig in the South East of France ( Savoy ) or even in Switzerland ! That would be great !
French fans are really disappointed by the lack of gigs in France but some of them might come soon here to talk about their favourite band (n'est-ce pas Losgann ?) !!!
I love the Band latest album : Proterra ! Wonderful CD. What do you think about it ? Give me your opinion !
--------------------
Durum Patienta Frango ! I overcome difficulties with patience !
Once again we have the same tastes ! The CD "In search of Angels" is brilliant ! One of my favourites too !
The new Runrig singer is Canadian, so there might be a Runrig tour in Canada and in the USA ! So keep your fingers crossed. Whenever I can get information about tour dates, I will let you know.
Thank you Lionel! I did not know the new lead singer was Canadian. I know a lot of people were upset when the other lead singer left, but that's all I know.
In 1997 the Scottish lead singer Donnie Munro left the band ! He was replaced by Canadian lead singer Bruce Guthro.
Some fans stopped following the band when Donnie left and other fans discovered the band with Bruce ! I don't think there is any problem because I love Runrig before and after this change in the lead singing ! I think that Runrig has changed and gets better and better ! That's a pity for those who think that the problem is in the fact that Runrig is no longer a Scottish band. Runrig is above all a Celtic band.
Right ! I agree with you. I love Donnie's voice. Bruce's is very different but I like it too especially in songs like "The old boys", the opening of the "Proterra" CD !
Which CDs are Donnie's voice in? The CDs I have are Celtic Glory, Beat The Drum, Proterra, Recovery and In Search of Angels. I don't think Donnie is in any of those, right?
mmh okay Donnie is definitly on: Celtic Glory, Beat the Drum & Recovery
I don't know Proterra but I own all Runrig CD's I could ever find (a CD version of their first LP, Play Gaelic as well, searched a long time for it), if you want I give you a list.
Proterra is the last Runrig CD. In Search of Angels is the firts CD with Bruce
Bye Losgann
Welcome Losgann ! Never mind if your English is poor (sure it is quite good ) ! Nice to meet you to speak about Runrig. We really need perfect Riggies here to let the people know how good this band is !
