| I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Eunice and I'm from Texas. I'm 48 and single and have become a grandmother for the 5th time. I told my son to buy a DVD player, but he chose to have children. I like all kinds of music and I'm very broad minded about all topics. I'm planning a trip through Scotland and England in July. I'm excited about that!!!!! I hope to hear from some of you soon. |

| Hi Eunice, from the great Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona! Glad you found Highlander Radio! This is a great place and there are so many really neat folks who inhabit the forums. My wife is from Texas (San Angelo) and we spent many good years there. The Lord gave us seven children in Texas and two currently attend school there. Welcome aboard and have a great day! |

| Wow! Thanks for all the posts. I'm glad to hear about the Navajo Nation. I, too, have family in San Angelo. The Alcala's are my aunt and uncle. I know that doesn't help. But, there are family there. I have a funny story about a trip to Colorado and going through San Angelo. I can laugh now. Then, I wasn't laughing. It's great to hear about all the texans on Celtic Radio. I wonder how many latinas? Or latinos. |

Hello and welcome euni33! I'm glad that you found us and hope that you really enjoy your trip abroad!  In the mean time, as you have seen, you have found the best Celtic music site there is on the Internet! Not to mention that some of the nicest people are here, as well as many forums that have all sorts of things to view with an broad mind. | Hello All, I had to post here because of the wonderful 7 years my wife and I spent in Texas. Originally from Tennessee, we were moved to Texas by the Army, when my wife joined in '98. I have never met people with more state pride and identity. When people asked, and many did, "Why did you move to TEXAS"? Our answer was that Tennesseans have a history of going to Texas for a good fight! I have found relatives in Scotland that are going to visit us and we will guest with them the next year. My great grandparents came from Scotland to Tennessee as teens and started my family. I now have a cousin (many times removed) wandering around Aberdeen in a Stetson hat while my wife and I sport fine Scottish sweaters in the winter. Is it any wonder I found my way to Celtic Radio? | Hi, I'm from Texas, too. We have a wonderful heritage of traditional music, including celtic music, especially in Austin! Why live in Texas? I was born here and lived here most of my life. It's a great place of diversity, we hardly have any cold weather (except in the Panhandle of course), and the people are the friendliest anywhere. Oh, and the cost of living is lower than a lot of other places. And where else are you going to find a special day just to dress up like a Texan? (Go Texas Day - the first day of the Rodeo in Houston each year). |

| My wife and I lived in a little place called Copperas Cove. It is on the western border of Ft Hood and the location of the fictional town of Arlen in King of the Hill. We miss Texas, the places and the people. We always enjoyed the "Gathering of the Clans" in Salado every year. Rodger |

| Scotsman2K, welcome. Assuming you are proabably close by as I live about 35 miles north of Fayetteville. There are plenty of Highland Games around here every year. If you are at Bragg, you are in an area that was very heavily settled by Scots Highlanders. Glad you found Highlander Radio and are discovering North Carolina. |

| CarolinaScotsman, Indeed I am close. I live in a little town named Falcon. (Population 356) More of a village really. My wife and I are looking forward to attending some of the Highland games and Clan gatherings in NC. |
