If memory serves me right, We were helping Bin Laden to stop the Russian take over of Afghanistan. It is not the fault of the US that Bin Laden turned rogue.

I do not believe that the war in iraq and the war against terrorism will "create" peace. Whatever it does it makes it easier for arab demagogues to persuade ppl to believe it's another attack on the arab world...

The war in Iraq and the war against terrorism are separate issues. Indeed, the war in Iraq is working directly AGAINST the war on terrorism. It has generated tremendous anti-US feelings in the muslim world, generating LOTS of new voluteer suicide bombers.

Besides, there is no evidence that war can create peace.
