There has been no mention of a festival in 2014 or a return in 2015. I am keeping watch over a number of previously cancelled festivals but find more often than not, when financial reasons are cited for cancelling a festival, the festival doesn't return. It looks like the Danbury festival, after being cancelled in 2012, made a return in October of 2013 but no mention of a 2014 event. We will see if they try again.

If you find anything, please let me know so that I can re-add it to my list of worldwide events

I have to agree with many of the above especially Lunasa and Solas.

Also would add Andy M. Stewart and Silly Wizard.

Yesterday, day two of "spring", we had white out conditions here in Ottawa. I took a picture with my phone and sent it to my daughter, showing her what she is missing. She sent back a picture a view of the ocean from her home in Panama City, Panama. This weekend, she is at a beach house on an island in the Pacific. I guess my wife and I raised a child to be a hell of a lot smarter than us!

First thing to do is to find a reputable tattooist and look through their portfolio. If the tattooist is good, they should be able to put together a piece with the elements that you bring in. My wife had a tattoo designed based on Norse Mythology which ended up amazing! She had brought in about 8 pictures and drawings and after about 4 redraws, the tattooist ended up bringing her what ended up being a beautiful piece.

Here is a picture of my newest piece

Woke up this morning looking forward to celebrating one of our children's transition to the teenage world. Had the day planned out with a bit of a break to show Celtic rings to a customer. Our son, turned 13 today. His passions are guitar, hockey and creating videos. His gifts... a new hockey stick, a new video camera and a new electric guitar! He had his favorite breakfast and favorite dinner. All of this planned. What wasn't planned was that the customer was none other than Brian Greenway, Canadian Rock Hall of Famer and guitarist of the band April Wine. Not a bad addition to an awesome birthday!

October 8, 1871 - A fire in Chicago, Illinois ("The Great Chicago Fire") destroyed approximately 17,500 buildings, killed more than 300 people and left in excess of 100,000 homeless. Legend has it that the fire was started when a cow, owned by Mrs. O’Leary, kicked over a lantern but in truth, the fire actually started in the barn of a labourer named Patrick O’Leary. The fire raged for about three days levelling a large part of the city.

Thanks everyone! What an amazing trip. We would definitely go back to Boston. So much to see and do.

McRoach,

We did hit a few of the places on that list. Couldn't get into Fenway because the Sox are in the playoffs. We did see a band called 'X' across the street from Fenway at the House of Blues while the game was on. Went by the TD Centre, went through Boston Common and enjoyed the insanity that is the Boston highway system.

Valpal,

35 years!!! That is fantastic.

Anyways, the next 20 begins. Thank you all.

Ingrid and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary today. I was fortunate enough to find a patient and loving woman to put up with me and all of my quirks. She has always been supportive and an amazing mother to our four children!

Heading to Boston, MA for the first time tomorrow to celebrate our 20th. Suggestions on what to see and do are welcome here!!!

Hi Dominic,

My wife and I had the pleasure of exploring Quebec City in February thanks to an awesome Christmas gift from our children! I hadn't been there in about 25 years so really enjoyed the beauty and hope to be back to explore more. Maybe we will be able to seek out your band and see you play.
