Just started the game last night...been a while since I've been active here, but hopefully I will be more so now. !

how do you build guard towers? is that something i have to wait to do?

To build guard towers you have to complete construction of an archery range and I want to say you also have to build a military academy and then you will have that option in the builings section. I may be mistaken though, it has been a long time since I had to do any research.

McRoach is right you must complete all of your "research" and "construction" first and then you can start on your buildings while at the same time build on your army slowly.

Once you have 1 building of each try and put equal workers in each to get an even income of your resources...you should concentrate on this first and then build towers as you grow stronger.

I have to say that I am confused by this game. I am just doing what I think is best and hoping for favorable outcomes. So far, it is working for me. I do not understand the food and wood production/earning but I will have to take lots of time to sit and read all of the posts to learn more.

I have a problem to start the game. My username is too short! Needed is a nick, which has between 5 and 50 charakters. Mine has only 4...
My problem is, that I don't want to change my "one and only" nick into something other.
Although I have an idea to solve this problem, but I don't know if that works.
If I change my nick from InRi into InRi[space]. This should be 5 charakters...
Does anybody know, if that works?

I don't know if it would work with a [space] but what if you try In-Ri or InRi* or In_Ri....try it and see.

Hmmm........Ive noticed that as my time has been consumed more and more lately by time needed by family and job search that my resources have diminished, and that my post ratio has gone down quite a chunk since I just don't have enough hours in the day to do everything I'd love to.

Faerydreamer, Your clan, if they are worth their salt, should be able to coach you as to the best way to build your kingdom and armies. There are a few ways in this game to succeed and everyone seems to have their method. I would mention that anyone playing this game that is not associated with or has alliances with a clan will eventually have difficulty maintaining their status and holding on to what they have.
