Resurrecting an old thread.

I started playing Hurling two years ago. I went to our local Irish Fest and found out about the sport. I had never heard of it until that day. I went to a couple of practices and I was hooked.

Our team/club started in 2005 with just a hand full of people. In 2008 they traveled to nationals in Boston and came back with the Junior C championship. Since then we've grown to over 160 members. This past summer we had seven pub teams in our innner-club tournament. We have a Junior C, Junior B and Camogie team that went to nationals in San Francisco this year. Junior C didn't do too good, Junior B got second and Camogie won the shield trophy.

I traveled to Chicago Gaelic Park and took a Fundamentals Coaching Course to I could help our growing club teach this great sport.

We are getting ready to start our fall club league and this year we are going to introduce Gaelic Football into the club.

It's a fun sport and I will keep playing it until I can't walk or stand anymore.

My club is The Indianapolis Hurling Club. Check out our webpage if you want to know more about us. http://www.indyhurling.com

I have an old broken one. You can have it unless you want to spend the money on a new one. I get mine from http://www.americanhurling.com/

Didn't check this thread for a while. Perkeo I'd love to have that stick if you're willing to part with it!!!
And with it broken it will add a lot of character to my pub. Any story to go with it on how it got broken to add to the lore??!!
Email on the way. Thanks a lot!
