We are now accepting nominations for the 2009 Celtic Radio Music Awards. Nominations can be made here or by using our contact form:

The Celtic Radio Music Award is a program sponsored by Highlander Radio to acknowledge and promote exceptional Celtic music across 6 categories of music. Nominations for this award are made throughout the year by listeners and members of CelticRadio.net. After a careful screening process, which is based upon listener nominations, ratings, requests, and other radio statistics; we select 3 songs in 5 categories for community voting. Categories for an award are Celtic Rock, Traditional, Jigs & Reels, Bagpipes, Roots Traditional and Contemporary.

Voting begins on January 1st of each year and ends on March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day). Winners receive recognition of this prestigious award through the induction into the Celtic Radio Hall of Fame and permission to use the Celtic Radio Music Award banner on their website.

Don't let your favorite Celtic Music group or musician not get noticed without a nomination. Do it now! Nominations do not have to be CDs released in 2009, but can be any CD or track that we play.

To Nominate, include the artist name, the album name, the song name and the category for nomination. If you wish to nominate the entire CD for album of the year too, be sure to include that.

Voting begins on January 1st, so get your nominations in!

Just a note that we are getting towards that time of the year when everyone needs to get their Celtic Radio Music Awards nomination in.

Don't let your favorite artist go without a chance to win this award. The top prize is a beautiful marble engraved plaque and a wonderful promotional opportunity in your local newspapers.

We are nearing the completion of review for all nominations for 2009. We experienced a slight delay in getting all nominations in as some of the CDs received in 2009 were not indexed into our broadcast until just last week!

All in all there are 127 song nominations. We are pouring through these nominations and are about 70% complete. We should have the required 18 songs across 6 categories picked within a day or so and then community voting will begin.

We'll have a general announcement about this when that happens. There is just too much good music submitted to our station!

Celtic Radio Station is always been the topic of my Irish friends. A award winning internet radio station. I really love listening western music. I was trying to search those who win that award.
