Attended the Westfield MA Highland Games yesterday. I have to say it was the most enjoyable games I have been to thus far. Adding to the enjoyment was some very nice weather - starting out cloudy-misty - cool 60's, but ending up in the low 80's, sunny and warm.

Had the opportunity to sit through some excellent concerts by Iona, Ru-ra, Clann An Drumma and Charlie Zahm!

My daughter continues to move up in rank in her Highland Dancing capturing 3rd place for the sword - although a little unfair since she is competing against people much older including a man in his 20's who won first first. The way the catagories are setup she competes with beginners 13 and older!

For my son, it was his first competition and he was very disappointed that he took no medals (unlike his karatee competitions) - even though we prepared him that for his first time going it is really just practice for getting up in front of people, etc.

We also brought our Puppy (Hunter) to the games and he absolutely loved the clan tents! Unfortunately, we could not find his clan! :(

:D

I'll see if I can post some pictures later on today!
