I went yesterday to www.quinlanroad.com to fill in some holes in my collection (yes, they do exist)
the songle/EP for "The Bonny Swans" is nowhere to be found! AAAAAACK!

I sent an E-mail, and the reply is as follows:



The Bonny Swans single in no longer available, and there are no plans to re-release it.


I found two places en Europe (one being Amazon.de) where I might be able to order a copy, but both places list it as $30 before S&H. Is it just me, or is tripple the price a little extreme?

Think I'll go ahead and order it, for the sake of not missing out entirely. but

Aaediwen! $30 for a single? My gosh! That is a major rip off! And you're going to pay it? The song is already on one of her CDs! Is the song different than on the CD? Oh that is so terrible!

I'd think about paying 2x that atm. There are versions of some other songs that I have yet to see recorded anywhere else (Like a live recording of "Stolen Child") I called QR today. no avail.

then, I wrote down Lady of Shalott
but b4 of that, Mummer's Dance (pop version) played on Eagle FM in Korea, sounded so good (but the one on Book is different)

Heather Dale's CDs are proving somewhat elusive down this way... looks like I may haveta get a copy from her site/label. I'm surprised Amazon don't have her listed.

Aaediwen! Sounds easy for me to have said that $30 was a rip off, but if I want something bad enough I have paid through the nose for it! For something like that single that is not being sold anymore and you want it bad enough, well it might be worth to get it now. Might go up in price the more you wait! Good luck! I listened to some of the tracks of Heather Dale on the one site. Her voice is lovely and I really like her music. Her music rather has a bit of country entwined to the tracks I listened to......interesting. I am disappointed that Heather Dale is not on Amazon. Is she a recent artist?

~2000 and later, Independant artist. Her latest CD, "May Queen", was released mid to late 2003. I've cound Amphisbaena Music to be quite easy and trustworthy to order from. Gets you on her E-mailing list, but that's all the extra mail you're due for and I have no desire not to recieve them. The newsletters she sends out are the only place I've heard of her gigs or radio interviews. I make a trip to Toronto, I may have to schedule it around a show =). I told her about this thread in my last e-mail, hope she might come read it if she has time. Although she makes no secret of how busy May Queen is keeping her.
