Member Welcome, Introduce yourself to the community.

Hi

Just introducing myself. I have been mostly lurking and listening for the last few weeks. I have been unable to listen at home until this day, yea!!! I've got Celtic Radio.net at home.

My wife and I are both of Irish heritage with a healthy dose of Scottish and German. We are also professional musicians and call what we do Neo-Celtic as we play a lot of bars we mix in traditional and pop covers, many of the pop covers are by modern Celtic musicians such as the Cranberries, U2, the Corrs etc.

We are getting more and more into doing traditional tunes with a modern twist and writing originals that have a traditional flair of sorts. This has come as a result of meeting people who are very into all things Celtic. We are finding that we are getting deeper and deeper into learning more of the history about the arts etc...

We live in Indianapolis Indiana and travel all over the Mid-West on a regular basis, ocaisionally going further afield.

I'm working on a couple of new websites and you can rest assured that Celtic Radio will have a featured link in the next few days. I think that this is a great station and I have already discovered a number of groups that I particularly like such as the Stone Soup Band, Barley Juice and Ed Miller, just to name a few.

I look forward to participating here.

I am the guitar player for a band called Blaq Lily www.blaqlily.com we are in the process of changing the name to Arminta (she is the front person and also my wife of 21 years) I have just launched a new site for the change that I am just starting to promote. www.arminta.net and I would really appreciate any constructive critisism about it.

I just convinced her to join up. She's quite interested in Pagan beliefs and traditions, so I told her there are many like minded people on here, so she should join. Then I mentioned that they share recipies too, and the cook within took hold. She had to join.
